We build software that keeps college students organized.

CLIGN is a college student planner made by NFY Interactive, Inc., a software company founded in 1999 and based in San Diego, California. CLIGN is part of the NFY Interactive suite of software products.

What CLIGN does

CLIGN is a subscription web and mobile application for college students. Our core business activity is developing and operating that software. Specifically, CLIGN:

Reads an uploaded course syllabus and builds the student's courses, class meeting times, assignments, quizzes and exam dates automatically.
Imports assignments and due dates from a school's learning management system through the student's personal Canvas calendar feed.
Syncs two ways with Google Calendar and pulls in published campus event calendars.
Records and transcribes lectures, stores class notes with typed text, handwriting and photos, and generates flashcards and practice quizzes from them.
Manages team practices, games and travel for student athletes and their coaches so athletics never collide with class.
Sends optional email and text message reminders about classes, deadlines and schedule changes that the student has asked for.

We serve college students, student athletes, coaches and the campus organizations they belong to. CLIGN offers a free tier along with paid Student and Pro plans.

Why we built it

A semester arrives as a stack of PDFs, a learning management system, a team schedule and a group chat. None of them talk to each other, and the student is left to be the integration layer. We think the answer to "what should I work on right now?" should take one second, not twenty minutes of cross-referencing.

So CLIGN does the assembly. You give it the sources you already have; it gives you back one calendar, one set of reminders and one place to study from.

How it works

1. Create your account

Students sign up with email or Google and pick their school and major.

2. Bring in your classes

Upload a syllabus, paste your school's Canvas calendar feed, or add classes by hand. CLIGN reads the meeting times, assignments, quizzes and exams.

3. See your whole semester

Everything lands on one calendar — class meetings, deadlines, campus events, practices and games.

4. Study with it

Record lectures, keep class notes with photos and handwriting, and turn them into flashcards and quizzes.
